    • Description

Louis Jadot Pernand-Vergelesses Rouge 1er Cru Clos de la Croix de Pierre

An elegant and powerful red Burgundy with aromas of dark red fruit. Silky tannins with a persistent finish.

The grapes are picked by hand. Then they are fully fermented in stainless steel tanks, after which a maturation of 15 months takes place in oak barrels.

      GRAPES: pinot noir
      ALCOHOL PERCENTAGE: 13.50%

This Premier Cru is produced entirely biodynamically.

Serve with red meat dishes or lamb.

      Origin: Burgundy, France

      Winery: Maison Louis Jadot

Maison Louis Jadot was founded in 1859 by Louis Henry Denis Jadot. Originally it was mainly a trading house, but today it owns more than 225 hectares of its own vineyards. The total range includes wines from Chablis, Côte d'Or, Côte Chalonnaise, Mâconnais and Beaujolais, in the latter case usually made on the Château des Jacques. The starting point for all wines is that each vineyard has its own characteristics and that the terroir is therefore leading. For that reason, nature is allowed to take its course as much as possible and winemaker Frédéric Barnier strives to make as few interventions as possible during the vinification process. As a result, there is no such thing as a general 'Jadot style', but each wine from Louis Jadot has its own character.
